NFC · physical channel

Tap a physical thing, land in the journey.

A keychain, a poker chip, a luggage tag. Tomo Tags turns an everyday object into a tracked entry point to the journey a partner already runs — measured in the same place as every other Tomo link.

A Tomo Tag NTAG213 · write-once

How it works

Three steps, and none of them is new.

The chip is a new way in. What happens after the tap is the journey the partner already has.

01

A phone reads one URL

No app, no pairing. The tag holds a single web address; the phone opens it the moment it touches.

02

Tomo resolves the partner

Branding, language and destination are decided after the link opens — so one batch of chips can serve different partners.

03

It lands in the existing journey

The same pages, the same funnel, the same reporting. A tap is a link-open with channel = nfc.

On the chip

One record. Nothing about you.

Worth being specific about, because a tag you can pocket invites the question. This is the entire payload.

NDEF · URI record
# the whole of it
https://t.tomotags.com/t/<slug>

# what is NOT on the chip
# no name, no email, no booking reference
# no partner identity
# the chip's own serial is never used as an identity
Tapped a tag and landed on this page? That tag is not active yet, or it has been retired. The partner who gave it to you can issue a new one.

Specification

Deliberately boring hardware.

The chip is the cheapest, most widely supported part of the system, on purpose. The intelligence sits behind the URL.
